There are so many precious memories to be made this summer with your family! Throughout the season, our area hosts many family friendly festivals, classes and camps at local businesses and organizations, and even has awesome pools to check out that we can’t even believe are part of our community! But additionally, Greater Lafayette, IN has an impressive playground selection that’ll keep you and the army of small people in your home entertained for weeks on end. Not to mention – they’re all either free or a very minimal price to gain access. Here are some of our favorites in the area!
Lafayette and West Lafayette, Indiana Playgrounds
Armstrong Park

Armstrong has a cool, wooden playground tucked behind a huge pond and some baseball diamonds. It’s well shaded, and there are many other things to do while you’re here too. Consider riding your bike here on the paved trail that runs right behind the park. Maybe even bring your baseball gear to practice your swing at the batting cages available. Perhaps bring you fishing license and gear for some fishing after you play. Or stay and spend your day at Castaway Bay. So much fun to be had at this park!

However, the most notable feature really is the playground. Brand new in 2019, this playground serves every child’s imagination. Big or small kiddos – they’ve got you covered. Come here to let the entire family run free! This is a community favorite.
McCaw Park
McCaw Park, Lafayette, IN 47905
We’d say the best feature of this park is location! Conveniently located close to Interstate 65, you can easily access it from most neighborhoods within or around Lafayette. This playground sits on, ”poured-in-place rubber surfacing, ensuring that all people can gain access to the facility.”
